U7 Stingers Carnival at Meridan

This was a great opportunity for the Stingers to mix it with some different teams, with outstanding play in all three of their matches. It was fantastic to see some of our players score goals for the first time and some of our more experienced players made sure everyone on their team had a chance to shoot for glory! Well done everyone!!

Optus SSF Awards

Football Federation Australia and Optus have launched the Optus Small Side Football Awards to reward and recognise players, supporters and coaches who contribute to the sport and its development. These awards are designed to recognise players, teams and coaches who truly represent the spirit of football, fairness, skill, and the love of the game.

There will be three individual awards and one team award. Participation, development and commitment is the key for all award categories but especially for the ‘Team Award’. Teams which are nominated for the ‘Team Award’ will receive a fantastic Optus Small Sided Football kit.

Dominos World Cup Festival at Kingaroy Sun 22 August

Maleny U7’s

Our under 7 teams travelled to Kingaroy on Sun 22 August, to play in a Dominos World Cup Festival, hosted by the Kingaroy Junior Soccer Club. It was a fantastic way for our keen little players to finish up the season. They have all enjoyed the game so much this season, many are sure to return to the under 8’s next year.
