U16G      Maleny 2 v Bribie 0

Shannon Jones came out firing in the first minutes of the game. What is it with these Maleny girls? Bribie were just warming up and didn’t expect Maleny to score.

The team were fierce and Bribie fought hard, not afraid to put in some really hard hits to try and put Maleny off their game. Unfortunately for them they didn’t realise that these girls from the Mountain Ranges are built tough. Gabby Jackson proved she still has a golden boot, when she scored our second goal from a free kick from 30 metres out.

Bribie came back with a plan to get on top of us in the second half. They were bitterly disappointed as we held them out from scoring.

Our best player of the match went to Hannah Forbes for her ferocious play and Shannon Jones received the Encouragement Award for her never give up attitude in the midfield.  

Great game team. Keeping up the momentum for the season finale.
