Oh what fun playing 16 year olds in the mud and downpour!!
The Maleny “RAUNCHY” Rangers Ladies Team showed their typical defensive tenacity against a highly skilled and youthful Coolum Ladies Team last Friday night at NYU. A solid keeping effort from Kate was instrumental in stopping the Coolum Ladies from a score blow out as she batted and pushed balls wide of the goals constantly to keep the score down. Maleny Rangers defensive line was kept busy but their determination was admirable as they harassed the Coolum forwards and restricted them to attack through the middle. Great wing defence from Lisa and great centre defence from Shelley, both these ladies never stopped. Midfields prodigious performance was awesome, non-stop running and a show of their aggressive side particularly from Alex, subdued many an attacking raid from Coolum. Joelle was everywhere as usual dropping back to help, them ripping thru Coolum to set up our forwards Michelle who was energetic as always and the enthusiastic Manisha whose always hungry for the ball. Another great team effort from the Rangers Ladies as they continue to surprise not only themselves but many of their younger opponents.
